Special Things, B.V.B.A.

From yesterday until today: going forward to tomorrow! Special Things is older than yesterday! A long experience and knowledge brought the company to what it is now: a successful family-owned company. Jacques Debruyne, the owner, started as independent salesman in the early seventies. After a while, he had already a network reaching over the national borders. As customers were interested in the collections of Turun Hopea and Lindholm (Finland), Chabrières (France) and (Boltze) Germany, for which he acted as exclusive agent, he started in 1973, together with his wife, an own company. A lot of gadget- and design-shops sold these articles, coming from all over the world, and in the eighties, there was the upcoming of the custom-made wallclocks. And, as was expected, there was a lot of interest coming from publicity companies. When Axel, his son, joined the company in 2000, they both decided to enlarge the collections and to start, a few years later, an own company in the Far-East. Local people are doing the sourcing and follow-up. So it would be more easy to give the best service here in Belgium with the best products from the Far-East. More than all this, you can count on an own designer, and if needed some storage. But most of all: a flexible team! So the process from “idea” to “concrete realisation” goes smoothly, as it should. A company with a strong family character, keeps this ethic on a high level. As you can see: Special Things is older than yesterday and renews the future, day after day!
